Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa likely died at around the same time, according to the Santa Fe fire chief. The mummified remains of the Oscar winner, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawa, 65, were found in their $3.8 million Santa Fe home last week. The cause of their deaths remains unknown pending toxicology reports. Arakawa's body was found in a bathroom near unidentified pills strewn from a prescription bottle, while Hackman's remains were found in the home's entryway.
