The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby's son, Robert Jr., died on Monday at the age of 23. The news of his death was first reported byTMZ. The cause of his death has not been determined yet.
According to the Salt Lake City Police, they responded to a "full arrest/medical emergency" call involving a 23-year-old male. Fire and paramedics were dispatched, and an investigation was underway. Authorities have suspected a possible drug overdose, but no official cause has been confirmed as of yet.
Robert Jr. has appeared on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on several occasions. One of the most notable storylines in Season 4 was Mary discovering her son's secret marriage to Alexiana Smokoff. However, the couple later filed for divorce just months before Robert Jr.'s death.

Additionally, Robert Jr. had also faced multiple legal issues in recent years. The show had previously given a glimpse into his and Alexiana's alleged struggle with substance abuse. He was also arrested in Utah last September on allegations of trespassing and assault. In 2022, Robert Jr. faced charges of DUI and driving without a license. He later pleaded guilty to the charges and was released from Prison in February.
Mary Cosby and Robert Sr. have recently shared a statement to TMZ, confirming their son's passing. "Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God's promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow," the couple stated.
