Pentatonix’s Kirstin Maldonado Joins Broadway’s “SIX” as Anne Boleyn as Dylan Mulvaney Set Final Performance

Kirstin Maldonado will play Anne Boleyn in SIX starting June 1, marking her first Broadway role since 2018

Kirstin Maldonadois returning toBroadway.

ThePentatonixvocalist will join the cast ofSIXas Anne Boleyn beginning June 1. She takes over the role fromDylan Mulvaney, who is set toplay her final performanceon May 31.

"I am so excited to be back on Broadway and especially in this powerhouse show," Maldonado toldGMA3, who first announced her casting. "I cannot wait and I hope you guys can come see!"

InSIX, the six wives of Henry VIII take the stage in a pop concert-style showdown, each telling her story through high-energy songs as they compete to determine who had it worst — and ultimately reclaim their narratives on their own terms.

The Tony-winning musical — written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss — officially opened on Oct. 3, 2021.

Maldonado joins a cast that includes Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon, Jasmine Forsberg as Jane Seymour, Olivia Donalson as Anna of Cleves, Abigail Barlow as Katherine Howard and Anna Uzele as Catherine Parr.

This is the first time Maldonado has been back on Broadway since she made her debut in 2018 in the hit production ofKinky Boots.

A founding member of Pentatonix, Maldonado performs alongside Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee in the chart-topping a cappella group, which rose to fame after winning NBC’sThe Sing-Offin 2011.

Since then, Pentatonix has released multiple platinum-selling albums, earned three Grammy Awards and built a massive global fanbase, with billions of streams and millions of records sold worldwide. The group has become especially known for its viral holiday releases — including “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Hallelujah” — and has headlined international tours and performed at some of the world’s most iconic venues.

Meanwhile,SIXcontinues to to be on of Broadway's steadiest hits. Now in its fifth year, it's the longest-running show in the history of the Lena Horne Theatre.
