Kyle Chrisley has reportedly been arrested in Tennessee on multiple charges.
The 34-year-old son ofChrisley Knows Beststar Todd Chrisley and his first wife, Teresa Terry, was arrested by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office on Dec. 20, at around 7 p.m., according toTMZ. Later that night, he was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on charges including domestic assault, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. He is additionally facing three charges for allegedly assaulting a first responder and resisting arrest.
Entertainment Weeklyhas reached out to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office and representatives for the Chrisley family for comment.
The Saturday arrest is not Kyle's first run-in with the law. In March 2023, he wasbooked for felony aggravated assaultfollowing a physical altercation with a supervisor at a truck rental company in Smyrna, Tenn. Kyle was released after posting a $3,000 bond. Prosecutors ultimately dismissed charges before it went to trial, though court records did not specify why the case was closed.

In 2024, Kyle was arrested again for aggravated assault. A year later, in August 2025, he and his wife Ashleigh sued Rutherford County and two sheriff's deputies for $1.7 million for the arrest. In court documents obtained byPEOPLE, Kyle's attorneys claimed that he was unfairly arrested and "punished for calling for help."
The lawsuit alleged that, on Sept. 9, 2024, "a disgruntled mechanic, angry over a payment dispute, showed up uninvited, kicked at their doors, threatened violence, and used his car as a weapon by ramming their SUV and nearly running Kyle over in front of multiple neighbors."
The documents claimed that the Rutherford County deputies "didn't arrest the man who caused the chaos" and "instead, they arrested Kyle Chrisley, and ignored clear evidence that he was the victim, not the aggressor."

The lawsuit stated that the arrest caused damage to Kyle's public reputation in addition to humiliation, mental suffering, emotional distress, and economic losses. In a statement to PEOPLE, Kyle's lawyer Wesley Clark of Brazil Clark, PLLC, said, "Our hopes for this lawsuit are accountability and change because no family should have to endure what the Chrisley family endured in this terrifying scenario."
Earlier this year, Kyle's father, real estate tycoon Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie, were pardoned by President Donald Trump. In 2022, a three-week trial resulted inTodd and Julie being found guilty on federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. Todd wassentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie was sentenced to seven. Theyreported to minimum security prisons in January— Todd in Florida, Julie in Kentucky.
The couple spent 28 months in prison after their conviction and have maintained their innocence.
