Christmas Daytemperatures were some of thewarmest in recent yearsin Georgia, but that trend is short lived as the state ushers inmuch colder weatherfor New Years.
Temperatures have already started to drop across the state, with Atlanta dropping into the 20s Monday night.
Here's what to expect the rest of the week.
Chilly and rainy in the new year
The temperature in Atlanta won't be as cold as other parts of north Georgia, but cooler temperatures will bepaired with rain.

Wednesday, 12/31 — High of 53, low of 35, sunny
Thursday, 1/01 — High of 63, low of 39, scattered clouds
Friday, 1/02 — High of 59, low of 49, rain
Saturday, 1/03 — High of 61, low of 38, morning rain
Could Atlanta see snow?
